Meet Kendrea Makaily, Tlingit and Haida, age 16. She has stepped up to the plate to become a We R Native ambassador because she would like to tell other Native teens and young adults more about the importance of knowing your culture, your heritage, where you come from, to be proud of who you are, and teach them to keep their culture alive and thriving. Using her past as fuel, she will continue to teach her fellow youth about these important topics. Kendrea’s hobbies include singing, drawing, listening to music, and hanging out with friends and family. We welcome her to the We R Native team.
