Saydele Haynes, Colville, age 19, enjoys participating in powwow, playing stick game (aka hand games), beading, learning about her ancestors and balling. Being one of the first in her family to attend college, she fights for what she believes in. She knows there is more to life than drugs and alcohol, and in her efforts to prevent substance use, she is teaching her culture and being a role model for younger Native youth.
