If you’ve heard someone say that tainted water can “turn you gay”, or maybe you heard about frogs that switch sexes. But we’re not frogs and water won’t change your sexuality.
Nothing can make you turn gay and nothing will turn you straight. You simply are.
Sexuality is a spectrum and wherever you land – it’s okay – whether you’re straight, gay, bi, Tw-Spirit or anything in between.
In terms of the chemical, atrazine; the trace amounts of atrazine sometimes found in water cannot change your sexuality. Drinking lots of atrazine-contaminated water might have an effect on menstruation – like having an irregular cycle or going six weeks between periods, but again it cannot change your sexuality.
