ASK YOUR RELATIVE QUESTIONS

I think I might have an STI, what do I do since we have to stay home?

Yes, this shelter in place affects a lot of different things.

Normally, I would tell you to get tested. However, since we’re being asked to stay home during COVID…

Here’s what You can Do:

  • Call your tribal or healthcare provider. Most clinics are doing tele-health, which means they are providing healthcare over the phone or through video. You can ask them about getting condoms and birth control options during COVID.
  • Make sure you are practicing Social Distancing, which means not being in close contact with anyone who does not live with you. If you or your partner are feeling sick definitely don’t kiss or be intimate until you’re feeling better. Call a doctor for next steps, including how to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in your own home.

Best of luck!
