Youth Movement was a great success because of WeRnative’s donations to our event, which ultimately enabled 127 kids to not only have fun, but also learn a lot about life through the power of sport. All of your donations were vital to our even to happen, and we just wan t you all to know it is greatly appreciated by our staff and the Youth Movement Community.

At the beginning of the day, 127 kids from all over the state of Oregon arrived ready at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton for what they though would be a day of fun. What the field day turned out to be was a day of growth, inspiration, and motivation. We firmly believe that every participant left Youth Movement 2014 with a greater sense of community and the inspiration to do great things.

We also had the great opportunity this year to give a $2,500 scholarship graciously donated by Sigma Chi of University of Oregon. Victoria Kurtz, the scholarship winner, had this to say about the event. “Words cannot express how grateful I am for all of the energy invested into both the field day and the Sigma Chi Scholarship. It was such a gift to share the day with other Native students, to try new things, and, to top it off, to be selected as the scholarship beneficiary.”Your donations are what made stories like this possible at the event and ultimately helped us fulfill our mission to ignite a generation to be active, educated and connected to the power of community.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with how our event turned out this year and can’t wait to see what Youth Movement holds for the future!

Thanks again for all of your support and generosity!

Sincerely, The Youth Movement Staff
