Lexine Salazar, Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, is thrilled to be apart of such a dynamic organization. As an English Writing and Physics double major, she is also a representative of her school at various cultural events and conferences. Lexine’s passionate about native visibility in social media, and modern society as a whole, is one of many issues we face in Indian Country today. When Lexine isn’t staunchly debating Native social justice issues or representing our cultural perspectives in the scientific community, she enjoys performing traditional storytelling and cheerleading. Lexine hopes to act as an American Indian role model at the University level while creating tons of memories during her time as a We R Native Ambassador this next year.
