ASK YOUR RELATIVE QUESTIONS

Healthy Relationships

Q: What does it mean to have a healthy relationship?

To me, a healthy relationship is one where you have support of your partner. And that doesn’t always mean financial support. That means encouragement, that means someone who will hold you when you’re feeling down; someone who will listen. We don’t always want a solution, a lot of times just voicing our concerns will help us to work through whatever’s bothering us. A healthy relationship is one that does not involve denigration, does not involve physical abuse. The person who loves you should be the person you’re safest in the world with. Don’t accept anything less. And, enjoy being in a relationship that’s healthy, supportive, and will grow with you, not away from you.

Take care,
