ASK YOUR RELATIVE QUESTIONS

Do you have advice on how to cope or get through tough times?

We all have tough times in our lives and I think having some tools to help yourself along the way is really important. For me, making things always helps me work through challenges. This can be any type of creation, you could bead, carve, writing, photography, etc. For me singing always helps me understand my feelings better, and understanding my feelings helps me move forward.

So, I encourage you to make art. Make something that’s just for you. It doesn’t have to be pretty to have value. My grandma taught me that.

It’s also good to reach out to a friend or family to talk things through and for outside wisdom and if you’re in Alaska you can call the Crisis Lifeline at 988.

Its free and confidential and provides help if you are in crisis or feeling down and need someone to talk to.

Thanks for writing in and I hope that helps.
